Freedom Bows to Slavery...

Cries for freedom are absurd, because they ignore the bondage to nature, which ignores social conventions, is not even aware of social conventions and so, couldn't give a rat's arse about what roles you conform to when the roles of the natural world can NOT be denied and all your attempts at denying this merely dump you into a suicidal black hole of despondency.

Yet, if you are dwelling in that black hole of despondency, if your personal "world" is crumbling under your feet, make no mistake, the need for this is paramount and there's nothing "you" can do because you are simply not in charge and every instance of chaos is an attempt to prove this...

...until you get it.

And that is the definition of "enlightenment."

  1. First of all, the definition of "enlightenment" is: There is no enlightenment. And IF one is beyond mere so called consciousness, it might me known what next thought is not. That, at least, can be known, "beyond" consciousness. So, here my prove of it: My next thought indeed will not be that I think you, or me or anybody else is "enlightened", because there simply is no such thing as enlightenment.

"If you know there is no enlightenment, you're enlightened." (Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj)

Unfortunately I just burned my milk, while commenting on your blog again, Mike. Now I have to drink my coffee black.

My next thought, to make it as plain as possible, is definitely not that I'm enlightened. At least that much I can tell. And my next thought definitely is not that I think anybody, whosoever, is enlightened. And under certain circumstances, I even know my next thought. When I'm thirsty, it probalby is: I need some drink. Do I still have wine in the fridge?

Thanks for having me, Mike. Keep on elaboration on how determined humans are. I enjoy studying delusional thinking a lot.
